Hi same issue here,
my front end form is ok, but there is this warning each it tries to load the media button, except for the administrator, any idea ?
thanks
Maybe I got the question wrong, but
Personnaly I use the PHP export.
So each Time I modify ACF fields in the BO, I re-export to php, include it in my theme…
I save Json files just for safety reason
Acf PHP export is very good feature,… able to add dynamic fields, git able,…
wpml works just fine, but can be a bit tricky to work with.
You have to follow this guide :
https://wpml.org/documentation/theme-compatibility/setting-wpml-advanced-custom-fields/
the only issue I go into was an export in XLIFF, which is a very specific issue,…so far so good i’d say
Apparently,
my mistake was to DUPLICATE fields :
as i had to quite similar group of fields, I duplicated them, therefore, name was the same but not the key,
it explains why I could see them in the Back Office but not in the Front…
Hi,
workflow :
=> dev : localhost – acf fields stored in php file
=> Prod : http url – updated with git, same configuration
Process :
=> I add acf fields to a group of field which are assigned to pages (flexible or not)
=> I update the php file with acf fields to do so
=> I commit to Production
Result :
some acf fields appears to be missing, like there is no value inside
But in the database, there are all values (except the new one I just added)
After result :
>> I update my page (without touching anything or filling the new acf fields)
>> The database updates and add the new acf values in wp_postmeta table (and only the new ones)
>> on page reload, the page is like before with all the fields
Hope it’s clear enough, I can help in any way, please let me know,
Best
this still happens,
I have to republish the post, and everything is ok, but I’m afraid if I have more then 20 or 100 post, I won’t be really enjoying to re-publish everything ! and for production, this is not very nice 🙂
do you have any idea how to fix this or am I doing something wrong here, did you reproduce the bug ?
Best
apparently yes they’re still in the wp_postmeta table with the good post ID,
when I re-publish the post, you can see in the database that the missing values are added (the new values I added to the flexible field)
So maybe the field won’t be printed until all values are defined ? since i’ve added new values and I didn’t defined them in the back-office (they are not mandatory though…)
Thank you for your help
My mistake…thank you for you reply
(deploying to https…)
I’m very sorry, in fact I just didn’t see the block on the right, to translate the fields..I do feel like an idiot right now…
thank you, your work is really amazing…

Hi elliot,
I saw in the code you’re working on the wpml issue, any help needed ? any idea when you’ll be able to make it ?
thank you
nb : i’m still enable to get the fields in the translated categories, of course a quick workaround is to not specify the category…so it will show up everywhere..;but that is not really a cool solution, any other workaround for now ?
Ok, I guess it is a wpml issue with the category translation…i’ll keep you informed, the translated categories won’t show up in the list,…
In fact i think it works…but NOT with the repeater field, I already had some issues with the plugin (pm me if you need more or an access maybe…)
when the repeater doesn’t work, either it doesn’t show or it doesn’t record the fields, I have both cases…
Hi,
I do have the same issue, the filters won’t appear for the translated category…I tried ‘rodolphe’ fix, but it didn’t work for, I simply can not see the translated categories with wpml, any idea how to fix it ?
thank you
