Hi all,
When I was debugging the other day I checked Custom Post Type UI plugin, but didn’t have any issue with it. I’ve still got it activated now and without issue.
Nic
Ok, found the plugin conflicting with ACF 5 is Post Type Switcher. https://wordpress.org/plugins/post-type-switcher/
Deactivated it and all is good again.
Hi Elliot,
Thanks for the update.
Let me deactivate all the plugins on the site and see if I can find the bug.
If I still can’t find the problem I’ll definitely take you up on the debugging offer.
Thanks.
Update on this issue.
I installed Version 5.0.7 update of ACF Pro.
It removes the alert pop up, but the save process still has a bug.
It saves the new field as a field group.
I’ve had a better look at what’s going on and i’m guessing it’s a CSS issue.
Here’s a couple screen shots
Issue 1. Top field gets cut off in edit screen
Issue 2. Edit button not being displayed.
I had a better look and realised the edit buttons are being placed on top right corner of the screen, with multiple buttons overlapping each other. The only time this doesn’t happen is when I wrap the edit button in a column div.
Any thoughts on what’s going on here?
Hi Elliot,
It happens when I remove the ACF value (x button of the image).
If I delete all images from a repeater field then live edit defaults back to all media. So I can add a new image, but now it’s showing all images from WP media, not just the images associated to the post.
Hope that makes sense.
Nic
Hi Elliot,
When a user edits a page with Live Edit that already has images loaded (image field, repeater field) and then deletes all images from the post, the live edit screen goes back to showing all media items, instead of the ones associated with the post.
Nic
On further inspection I see this problem is only happening if I delete all images from the post.
