When I say, “section”, I think about it from the design standpoint: a section of the page. Just like this one:

Hm, so we’re probably not getting this? 99% of the websites nowadays need this thing, so we have to come up with something. There’s no point in replacing a page builder without this feature.
Are we going to have the section / inner block functionality? I don’t think there’s a point in creating something Gutenberg-compatible without that.
Question: how are you guys able to create page sections? This is a huge thing, but I’m just not able to do it with ACF.
Those sections need to be able to contain other blocks. I need them to have custom backgrounds and other functionality.
Honestly, I would still use ACF PRO for standard stuff, like setting up custom fields, etc.
I wouldn’t use it for building blocks, simply because there’s no option to create blocks inside of blocks (sections).
Come to think of it, I wouldn’t use Gutenberg at all because of that reason.
Yes, please! The plugin won’t reach its potential until this is implemented.
