cool, can confirm that it’s working:
In my case I had to do this to get it to display properly:
.acf-pull-right {
clear: none !important;
float: right !important;
min-height: 40px !important;
border-left: 1px solid #eeeeee !important;
}
Thanks so much for your help @LingoSam!
Hi @LingoSam:
thanks a lot for the input. Do you have any examples of using floats and clears to customize your field layout? I’d like to see how it’s implemented.
Pity about the column display. I’m sure grouping fields into columns is possible with a little customization. What would be great would be the ability to organize fields into rows, then further subdivide them using bootstrap-style column-width units.
This dev took a crack at it about a year ago, but I don’t think it works with ACF 5:
https://github.com/LightboxDev/acf-field-column
I haven’t played with this yet using repeater and flexible content fields, but I look forward to seeing how the ‘block’ fields work.
Kind of surprised no-one else here is talking about this though, I thought it was a pretty big deal.
have you tried using the Tabs field? It’s under Field Type > Layout
. If I understand your idea correctly, they accomplish exactly what you’re describing.
Hi:
@elliot
I was also experiencing this problem, but your suggestion to check the server logs was correct. Here is what I found in my php_error.log:
PHP Warning: Unknown: Input variables exceeded 1000. To increase the limit change max_input_vars in php.ini. in Unknown on line 0
It is because I had an obscene of amount of fields on my page. Luckily I’m working locally so I can adjust max_input_vars
. Not so sure about my host though…
Any update on this project? I checked the To-Do list but didn’t see any mention of this thread. I’d be willing to contribute to an important feature like this.
@AmandaB
I love what you’ve done with your custom edit page. I need to do something similar and was curious how you implemented it. Would you be willing to share your styles/js? Thanks!
As an owner of both the Flexible Content and Repeater add-ons, I just want to add my excitement to the chorus.
Thanks Elliot!
ok great, will keep an eye out for those updates. Thanks.
how does one remove the update script?
Is it enough to delete acf-remote-update.php
?
also curious about this, thanks for asking.
@elliot
no problem, my pleasure 🙂
Thanks Jonathan, will check it out.
