New wording suggested for Tab Field documentation

  • I love the new Tab Field feature, I’ve been thinking about this for a while and am happy to see it implemented.

One minor nitpick however, is that the blurb explaining the “Tab” layout functionality is confusing. Here it is:

All fields proceeding this "tab field" (or until another "tab field" is defined) will appear grouped on the edit screen.

You can use multiple tabs to break up your fields into sections.

At least in the dialect of English I speak, “proceeding” is a poor choice because it can either mean “proceeding from” or mistaken for “preceding”, which are two opposite meanings. The word “following” or “underneath” would be much clearer.

    Here is a suggested example:

Too many fields? Edit screen getting too busy?

Use "Tab Fields" to better organize your edit screen by grouping your fields together under separate tab headings.

All the fields following this "tab field" (or until another "tab field" is defined) will be grouped together.

Use multiple tabs to divide your fields into sections.
