@scooterlord – I appreciate that this may have changed since you asked these questions several years ago, but did you ever manage to find a definitive list of which stylesheet can be removed with which handle?
@hube2 – The ACF documentation is generally great and very detailed but wouldn’t having this documented on the website not be a relatively straightforward addition?
Apologies if I just have found it yet – if it exist, any idea where it is?
I’m trying to remove the _fields.scss style only, but whatever handle I try, it seemingly keeps removing the _global.scss as well.
Ah… interesting + strange indeed! Will check it out. Thanks for your swift reply 🙂
@city17 – Did you by any chance get any further with this?
Any other ways / suggestions. So that that I don’t have recode a whole website? Using a filter maybe?
I’m glad I found this post… I had the exact same problem with the Gallery Field.
I personally decided to just add the php to all of my themes’ function.php & then “hide” the fields (in my case an entire option page called Site Content Settings) on my main site, as this was the only theme that didn’t require these fields.
add_action( 'admin_menu', 'my_remove_menu_pages', 999 );
function my_remove_menu_pages() {
remove_menu_page('site-content-settings');
}
Bit messy, but everything works again. No one will every know 🙂
