Is there currently any solution available for this issue? It would improve user experience a lot in many cases I’ve developed so far.

I’ve optimized it a little bit, to be more flexible with the amount of columns:

.repeat-horizontal .acf-repeater tr.acf-row:not(.acf-clone) {
    width: 100%;
}
.repeat-horizontal .acf-repeater tr.acf-row:not(.acf-clone) td.acf-fields {
    width: 100% !important; /* important is necessary because it gets overwritten on drag&drop  */
}

Had the same issue yesterday. Did a rollback to 5.2.3 and updated now to 5.2.5. Seems to be working fine again. Thanks for your quick response and bugfix.
