WYSIWYG in Repeater causing admin errors

  • I’m having an issue with the ACF Repeater field when using a WYSIWYG. We have a repeater setup that has a title field and a WYSIWYG so the client can create lots of sections in a page cleanly. It works almost exactly how we need but with one issue, when we try to drag and drop any of the elements in the admin to re-arrange them there is an error where it fails and in doing so creates a lot of empty target areas (see attached screenshot). With that we get this error in the js console.

Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'canvas' of undefined VM1756 load-scripts.php?c=1&load%5B%5D=jquery-ui-widget,jquery-ui-mouse,jquery-ui-sortable,quicktag…:13

I found a similar forum post but all that was mentioned was that it was related to the WP WYSIWYG add-on, which we’re not using, we’re using the standard option in ACF.

What solutions are available for fixing this issue? It’s going to be used on a site with many writers who will wish to arrange things to a workflow that suits them so it’s important to clean up this bug.
