WYSIWYG creating unbroken text that won't wrap

Hi there, I wonder can anyone help with what seems to be an odd issue – the WYSIWYG editor is creating long unbroken lines of text – I thought it might be replacing whitespace with   which is then being interpreted as a single word which doesn’t wrap, but view source is showing whitespace although the element inspector in chrome shows  

I’ve tested using css word-wrap: break-word; to force a wrap and it works, but obviously I’d rather actually get to the root of the issue.

Can anyone suggest how to fix this issue? Any help greatly appreciated.

Are you using the remove_filter function?
remove_filter ('acf_the_content', 'wpautop');
