WordPress insert link widget not working properly in ACF Settings page

I have a custom settings page in a site that is managed by ACF. In a wysiwyg field of these settings, if I insert a link by highlighting text and using the link icon in the button bar then some thing very odd with the little standard wordpress link manager happens.

It flashes on and off as it comes into contact with the mouse pointer. If I am able to keep it on screen, searching and selecting on a link in its autocomplete interface never seems to result in it actually applying the link to the text.

The problem only seems to occur on this settings page, not when editing ACF fields of the same type within posts/pages.

There aren’t any JS errors occurring and I’ve disabled other plugins and none seem to be conflicting. Plugins and WP all on latest versions.

We seem to be experiencing a similar issue. See attached GIF.
