Using repeater date field to separate list of dates

I have a repeater field setup with 2 fields. (holiday_date & holiday_title)

Is there away that i could separate out all events by year?

so someone would enter all the dates into the repeater fields easily.

The output would go something like this though:

2015
holiday 1
holiday 2

2016
holiday 3
holiday 4

So all events would be listed chronologically but be listed under their year dates.
