Using a shared block as an inner block?

  • Can you use a shared block as an inner block? Here is my scenario. It’s really a workaround for the fact that you cannot (yet??) override shared blocks.

We have CTA blocks across the site, that mostly have shared title and body copy, but they need a custom URL in the button for tracking and email capture. If shared blocks could do overrides, I could just allow for overrides on the button only, but they do not. I found this closed task and commented on it to see why it’s been closed.

In the meantime, I’m trying to use nested blocks instead. A shared block for the title/body, and a button block for the link. Could this be possible?
