I would dearly love to use ACF instead of gravity forms, which I have done in the past, but it looks as if there is no way to attach the means to take a payment when a post is submitted, as is possible (in a million different ways…) with gravity.
I see that there was a plugin to allow paypal payments, but that has not been supported for years. Is there something else I can use? The ability to take a payment seems such a basic need so I can’t believe there isn’t a relatively easy way. Maybe I’m just too dumb to find the solution?
Can you offer any advice or suggestions?
Hi @brian7454
ACF is a plugin to handle custom fields, not payments gateway. If you need a custom plugin, I’d suggest you hire a developer to help you out with it, and I’d recommend looking for one on https://studio.envato.com/ or https://www.upwork.com/.
I hope this makes sense. Thanks!
Thanks for that – I have to say that after being asked for $900 a year or so ago to create a custom single.php that I eventually managed to do myself in a couple of hours, I would never consider contacting envato!
Actually, although I’m still trying to stitch them together, the easy solution is to use Formidable Forms Pro for the front end submission – they have a selection of payment addons. All I have to do now is work out how to get one or two fields to submit properly and it’ll be time for a beer!
