Can someone give me any recommendations on how to style up the ACF fields within the page editor or a custom post type page editor. The default styling is pretty utilitarian and I wanted to make it look a bit more slick – it’s for clients of course.
This is essentially for the editing of more complex homepages layouts and landing pages to be easy and intuitive! It does get a little dense (for clients) with the basic layouts and utilitarian styling of ACF when there are a lot of different fields etc.

You can always add CSS code on the wp-admin using “acf/input/admin_head” hook. This page should give you more idea about it: http://www.advancedcustomfields.com/resources/acfinputadmin_head/.
