Sort repeater rows before saved in DB

hi there!

How can I hook into the saving process of a repeater field to sort the rows before they are saved to the DB?

I have a repeater field “dates” with a field called “date”. Because I query and sort by this field in the frontend I need the rows of this repeater field to be sorted by “date” everytime the post is saved in case users enter data in a random order.

I tried with the acf/update_value hook but had not luck…
