Simpler Way of Editing Source Code

  • I always work in the text editor on WP, never the visual one. When I use the editor as my field type for this plugin though, it doesn’t have the simple visual/text sections. It’s extra work to have to click on the source code button and use the tiny box that pops up for each separate field. But if I use the text-area as my field type, it doesn’t convert my shortcode. Is there any way I can at least make it so the text-area field type will allow shortcode? I don’t mind editing the plugin code, but I would need to know what I’m supposed to do.

  • This is a difference between ACF4 and 5. ACF 5 includes the use of the standard WP editor where ACF 4 does not. The only way to solve this right now is to purchase ACF 5 Pro.

  • Ah, thank you, I didn’t know that. I’ll have to look into it.
