Hi,
How can I get backend custom fields to show on the front end for my event calendar plugin (events and venues)?
For the event listing, when a specific WordPress category is checked off in the backend, I would like for that to show up on the front end, next to the event name as smaller letters and possibly a different color.
For the venue listing, I have an ACF checkbox field in the backend, and would like to show this checkbox text on the front end next to the venue name.
Thanks!
What plugin are you using for your events calendar?
You need to look at the documentation for that plugin if find out how to alter it.
Once you know how to do that then you can work on showing the fields.
Thank you! I am using The Event Calendar Plugin,https://theeventscalendar.com/ I was told I should reach out to your support team as they do not handle third-party plugins.
You want to edit alter the display or their plugin. It does not matter what ACF can do. The first thing you need to know is where and how to alter the other plugin to change the display and add your own content.
Once you know how to do that then using ACF is simple.
I tried looking at the documentation, but I didn’t find anything with my quick look. I don’t know anything about that plugin so I can’t help you. They have a list of hooks here https://docs.theeventscalendar.com/product/the-events-calendar/, this one looks like it might be what you want, but I can’t say for sure, you’d have to test it https://docs.theeventscalendar.com/reference/hooks/tribe_events_single_event_title_html/
