Set default field value in front-end

Hi. Just looking for some help.
Basically got field created on back-end called ‘price’ with default value of 50. It is not editable field. Looking for solution to able to update default value of the field on front-end on settings page, so if value is changed to ‘100’ so on new post form it would change from 50 to 100. Any way to achieve it? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

There must be something that is settable and stored somewhere.

You would then use an acf/prepare_field filter to changed the default value.
