Searching Taxonomy Field

I have added a Taxonomy Field to my form. It appears that this is stored as a Taxonomy object, so how do I use it in a search?

Or is it stored as the Taxonomy ID number? It’s hard to tell how it’s stored.

When you add the field there is a select box for you to choose Term Object or Term ID

So, I am storing the Term Object.

How do I search it, then?

Okay, so the selected taxonomy itself is stored as the ID in the custom field. ACF lets you decide how you want the info returned. So I just need to search for the ID.
