Scrambled import

I’m getting fairly consistent (if scrambled can ever be ‘consistent’) scrambling of ACF imports into my live site.

Some fields get lost, other go into the wrong order.

The type and settings for each field seem unaffected

eta: should have said WordPress 3.8.0 ACF 4.3.4

Perhaps you could attach the problematic XML file for use to test?

I am also wondering…. I have WordPress 3.6.1 on the local server (and 3.8.0 on the remote). Would this be sufficient? though both ACF versions are 4.3.4

problem is; testing is difficult as I had to manually fix yesterday and I’m reluctant to break it again.

Hi @chrispink

Yes, the WP versions would make a very big difference. I would encourage you to always use the same files for dev / live.

This avoids running into any errors on your live site.

I’ll have a look at the xml and let you know.

Hi @chrispink

I just successfully imported the fields, and they look good.
I can’t explain why your import failed, but perhaps your server is running at full capacity and unable to run the import tool correctly?
