Hi all, I need a little help…
I have several different custom field groups that are displayed for specific taxonomies within a post.
Each of these has a post object field that allows a selection from a specific taxonomy.
For example:
If the post taxonomy term = ‘flora’ or ‘fauna’ then the post object allows a ‘planet’ to be selected.
If the post taxonomy term = ‘planet’ then the post object allows selection of a ‘system’
What I want to do is to scan each of the linked posts and display a list of all of those that have a post object like:
- System name
- Planet name
- Fauna name
- Flora name
- Planet name
- Fauna name
- Flora name
I guess essentially what I’m asking is can a post object pull in other objects from various posts and display them in a hierarchy?
The reason I’ve selected the post object field over the relationship field is because of how it’s presented on the front-end to users.
