Retrieving or updating a field value on multiple posts

Is there a more direct way to retrieve or update a field value on multiple posts.

An application of mine needs to update the same field with different values on potentially 25 different posts.

You can always programmatically update the fields values by using the update_field() function. This page should give you more idea about it: https://www.advancedcustomfields.com/resources/update_field/.

ACF also has several hooks that allow you to modify the saving process such as “acf/save_post“. Please check this page to learn more about ACF’s hooks: https://www.advancedcustomfields.com/resources/#actions.
