Responsive break on columns on smaller screens

Hey all. I”d like to make it so that as users get down to smaller screen sizes the columns of fields would break to stack so that the fields are still usable and legible. The way the column structure is built it makes it very difficult to control that. Has anyone had any luck controlling that on both the back and front end forms.
