I am using ACF for a website where a number of files can be downloaded by the visitors. Now my client want some of these to be restricted so only those who are given a password by them can download these specific files.
Is there a plug-in or a settings to do this?
There’s nothing within ACF to allow such functionality. However, you could link to the files within password protected pages. No additional plugins required. This doesn’t secure the files directly, as anyone who knows the URL to the file will have access.

Because ACF uses the native and core WP attachment functionality. In theory, you should be able to find an attachment password protect plugin and it will work with ACF.
