replace/edit/update/insert ACF custom date field in posts' published date

Would it be possible to replace or edit or update or insert an ACF custom date field into a post’s published date? If so, how would this be possible?

I don’t understand why you would need this functionality as it is already built into wordpress?

I am not certain why you would like to have this functionality but you could definitely hook into the acf/pre_save hook.
