We use use post object fields quite a lot – allowing the user to display their posts on other pages. Some of our users have a LOT of posts. Generally they are linking to their most recent posts.
It would be great if we had the option when creting the custom field to browse the post object dropdown with the latest posts first (as an option not an alternative, I can see the value of alphabetical too).
Unless theres a way to do this already?
There are filters hooks that are run before the posts are queried. This hook is documented here http://www.advancedcustomfields.com/resources/acf-fields-post_object-query/ and you can use this to change the order that posts are returned

That’s why I mentioned it being an option (for the user) rather than an alternative.
