Removes content after update

  • Hi. Not sure what happened. I got site from new client and just bought new licence for him to update plugin. Last company didn’t provide with any updates. However site was working fine and now when trying to update or create new page with ACF content gets removed after update.

    Even on old pages..

    There are no errors from debug on true. There are no errors from any error plugins and also query monitor doesn’t show any errors.

    Checked server errors – no errors.

    Tried to disable all plugins, left only ACF and WPML – no luck, keeps removing content after update or on new pages.

    Tried to use Child or actual theme. Same problem.

    As I can’t find errors and have tried a lot of things that came in my mind.. I need some help.

    What could be issue?

  • How many custom fields are on the post, page or location that is giving you this problem. Are there many or only a few?

    It’s possible that you have a long field name. Please take a look at this page: http://www.advancedcustomfields.com/resources/field-value-wont-save/.

    It’s also possible that your server has settings that prevent the saving process. This page should give you more idea about it: http://www.advancedcustomfields.com/resources/limit-number-fields/.

    Could you also do a test on a WordPress’ stock theme like Twenty fifteen?
