Relationship without Taxonomie?

I have a Custom Post Type “Slideshow” and a Custom Post Type “Slide”. If I create a Slideshow, the left side of the relationship-field should be the slides, which are then transferred to the right. At the moment only the posts are displayed on the left. Is there a way to realize this function without taxonomy? I use the Relationship field.
