Question: What happens with taxonomy fields data when tax is deleted?

Hi

I use some ACF fileds on categories, and I can se that each cat ID with the field + data are saved in the WP options table. Correct?

Main question:
If I delete a category, what happens with all the data?

Sometimes we use a “base” Theme to setup for a new client, clone and rename / delete/ add categories etc etc (MANY taxonomies sometimes, multingial setups).

If old data are still there, best way to clean them out?

These forums didn’t get much love 2 years ago, sorry for your long wait.

I just had a look in ACF5 Pro and the data is deleted from the options table when a term is deleted, and looking in 4 it appears to be the same.

In the next version or two term meta should be incorporated into ACF.
