Problems in Post Category location

Hi!

I have assigned my group field to a specific post category, but when the edit page loads the group field is always visible (independently of the post category). When the user changes the post category then an AJAX request is thrown and the visibility of the group field works fine.

Is this the expected functionality? I was hoping that the group field visibility was checked in the server side too.

This bug STILL exists over a YEAR after this was posted.

Is this going to ever be fixed?
