Problem with updating fields

If I create a new set of fields there is no problem, things get saved to the database and everything is dandy. But if I wanted to go back and edit a field… that’s where things get messed up. If I edit a field and update, I get a “fields updated” text above, but no changes. I then thought it was the database so I made my changes to the field, then cleared the database entry, then saved. The database entry correctly saved the field, but again in the backend nothing gets saved.
Please look at the screenshots below. The first being the database where it shows the correct entries, then the second is what shows in the backend. I really need this to work because I do not want to just create a new set of fields then have to redo everything in my posts… This only started happening around the last major update.. Please help!
