PRO update disabled with hidden admin

Hello, I have the admin hidden on my staging and production sites using this code https://www.awesomeacf.com/snippets/hide-the-acf-admin-menu-item-on-selected-sites/ but that disables the automatic updates. Any idea how to fix?
