Preopulate fields

Hello,
is it possible to prepopulate ACF inputs when a post is created?
I havent found anything on how ACF populates the fields when viewing a post.

I want to add a “Duplicate” Post button which duplicates the current post and fills all its values into the ACF fields.
But I DONT want to save the post at this moment but only fill the form.
Only when clicking save it should be saved.
