I am working on a site that will be cloned and translated onto another language. We still want to keep a reference of the posts’ title in their original language -which is English.
We decided to create a text field that will have the original English title of the post.
Our issue is that there are thousands of posts, so copying and pasting titles into the new field, by hand, is not an option.
Is there a way to run a routine that pre-fills the new field with the post’s title and saves it –only once, that way when the title is translated the new field we created will keep the original english title and won’t be updated with the new text…?
