I have a post object field drop down in my post edit screen. The custom post type it lists are categorised, is there a way to display the posts in the post object drop down grouped by categories?
The posts have similar names and its the category that determines which post to select.
Is this possible?
No, you can’t group the post this way, but you can alter the title that is displayed using the acf/fields/post_object/result filter https://www.advancedcustomfields.com/resources/acf-fields-post_object-result/. In the filter you can get the category of the post and add the category name to the title.
