Possible? Setting default value for a filter

Hi!

I’ve created a front-end form to display a relationship field an enabled the taxonomy filter for that field.

I can’t find any way to alter the filter tough. I’d like to:
– remove the ‘select taxonomy’ option
– set a default option as selected option

So far I’ve not been able to figure out which functions/filters are used to generate the taxonomy filter.

Any suggestions are highly appreciated!
