Plugin updates/auto updates clarification

Hi,

I’m a little unclear on the current state of play regarding updates for ACF PRO. The recent 5.9.2 bug is prompting me to clarify if I need to go and manually update my sites or if they’ll auto update.

My questions specifically are:

1. The admin toolbar updates notification / dashboard > updates often doesn’t show an ACF PRO update is available but going to acf > updates then does. Is this by design and/or a consequence of the commercial license?

2. How does ACF PRO play with the wp5.5+ automatic plugin updates feature? Assuming license key is entered correctly will the plugin auto update itself if this is enabled?
