PHP Warning: file_get_contents(): php_network_getaddresses: getaddrinfo failed

  • Hi,

I have moved my WordPress install into a subdirectory, and display the site in the root directory.

It is working fine like this.

I’ve just installed ACF, and when attempting to add a new content type, I receive:

PHP Warning: file_get_contents(): php_network_getaddresses: getaddrinfo failed: Name or service not known in /home/websitetech/domain.com/directory/wp-content/plugins/advanced-custom-post-types/admin/class-dashicons.php on line 13

    + 10 more errors…

    Help appreciated.

  • Hi @srd

Have you considered deactivating the advanced-custom-post-types plugin and registering the post types via your functions.php file? It looks like there might be a conflict between the two plugins. Does the issue replicate when you only have ACF installed and the other plugin deactivated?

  • Hi James,

I was confused. I wanted to install ACF, but confused ACPT with ACF.

ACF works fine, so problem solved.

    Sorry.

    Cheers,
    Steve
