P tags being stripped

For some reason when I create a child theme of Twentytwelve and use Advanced Custom Fields tags are replaced with tags.

tags are replaced with tags?

I think the Support forum has stripped out your html. Please remember to wrap your code.

Also, please provide the code you are using to render the value into the template

What is the code you are using to render the WYSIWYG value onto the template?

Not sure what you mean. It’s just the WYSIWYG field in ACF. Are you regerring to the PHP statement the_field?

Yes, I am referring to the PHP code you are using.

Perhaps you have a filter that is causing p tags to turn into br tags? Have you checked your theme functions.php file?

Well, I have the main parent functions, and I have the child theme functions, and I have the page template itself. How can I get all these files to you?

Hi @JKNetDesign

I’m not hoping for you to send me a bunch of files, the ACF plugin is a developer tool and I would expect that you understand the code you have written and can debug the issue yourself.

Please search through your theme (parent and child) for any filters which could causing this issue.
