Hello, I understand WordPress is meant to have a functional video embed system as well as HTML5 also has such features. At the moment I am using the file URL into a html5 video player.
Will there be any plans to allow a customisable ACF PRO Video add-on?
Any information would be great before I mass code a fully featured video module. Thanks.
From my tests it this not a external solution? It does not matter as I have used the File field using the URL and built that into a html5 player. Thanks for reply.
@Matthew – I’m looking for a similar solution for HTML5 video. Unfortunately the oembed field type doesn’t contain enough extra fields for the required information like; mp4/ogg/webm paths + attributes + track data.

The reason I need this is that a client doesn’t want their videos on sites like Vimeo or YouTube & a couple of those codecs I can link directly from Dropbox (except mp4). Regardless, thank-you Elliot Condon for the system you’ve created. If I can find a solution or create one I’ll try and post a link here.
Hi I also need this feature, so paste in a video mp4 link and it previews as an html5 video in the backend, did you find a solution?
