Hi,
When interfaces get loaded with features it’s nice to split them up into sections using the tabs. It would be great if those tabs would merge together across field groups to avoid the following behaviour;
Would be a great addition to ACF!
Thanks,
Robin
Thanks for the feature request. I’ll have a look at this in the near future.

Id like to add my support for this feature request. This would be extremely useful for complex setups with shared field groups.
The http://wordpress.org/plugins/ultimate-metabox-tabs/ plugin almost does the trick, but it appears to base its logic only on post types, so you can’t, for instance, put different tabs on unique pages.
Thanks for the best WP plugin ever made, by the way.

Hi,
I#m having exactly the same problem. Is there any solution available yet ? I also tried the ultimate metabox tabs plugin, but it doesnt work for me, seems to be buggy.
Thanks in advance.

Hi @drunkrocketeer.
I just wrote a simple plugin based on Javascript to merge tabs from different groups. So meanwhile, until Elliot add this functionality, you can download my plugin here
https://wordpress.org/plugins/acf-merge-group-tabs/
This plugin no longer works properly with latest ACF version.
Ideally this topic should be re-opened maybe? Personally I think this functionality would be a great addition to ACF and would make tab usage much more functional and avoid significant field group duplication in order to keep all the tabs together.
Thanks!!
I second that notion. It would be a good addition to the tab functionality.
