Managing relationship from both directions

I know how to setup a relationship between post or post types …and also there is a great way to query from both directions.

But what about managing relationships from both directions.
If i hade 1000 doctors and 10 locations – what if i added one more location and want to assign it to 50 doctors. I have to open 50 doctors-pages and assign the new location.
Is there a way to do this from the location-page, too (just adding the 50 doctors from the side of the location-page)?

…like the post2post-pluging is doing

I do not find a setup for this.
