Make ACF image the featured image

Is there an easy way to make an ACF image field automatically replace a (or, when downloaded, become the) post’s featured image? Thank you.

With some custom coding…I’m guessing you could hook into acf/save_post: http://www.advancedcustomfields.com/resources/acfsave_post/

And then use set_post_thumbnail: http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/set_post_thumbnail

That should get you started.

Yes you can use @korndev’s approach or you can opt to use the set_post_thumbanail() function within the acf/update_value action: https://www.advancedcustomfields.com/resources/acfupdate_value/
