Limit for Dynamic population Select FIeld

Is there a limit for Limit for Dynamic population of Select Field.

Is it ok if I populate 1000, 10000, 50000 values and choices?

The only limit to the number of values that could be dynamically generated in a select field would be the limits of the hardware that is running the code. You may also run into trouble if it takes too long to do the dynamic generation if it causes the browser to time out.
