Lazyload Admin Images

Hi there!

I am working on an image heavy theme for long form articles that are made 100% with the Flexible Content field (sometimes up to 20-30 blocks). I’ve noticed the admin area gets quite slow when there are a lot of images to be loaded – it would be wonderful if the image files were not requested until in view.

+1 to this request, long flexible content and repeater areas can really slow the admin page load down.

I ended up creating a custom post type and splitting everything up, then displaying them as an archive to look like a single post. Worked pretty well actually, but it is a lot of jumping around to manage everything.
