After updating to ACF 5.9.4 i constantly get an javascript alert popup saying “This page is asking you to confirm that you want to leave the page – Data you have entered may not be saved.” after updating content on pages and posts.
This is happening on multiple websites after the last ACF Update, even if the Posts or Pages didn’t make use of ACF fields. Any ideas? Thank you!
Having the same problem after the last update on every site it is running ACF. It keeps asking to save edits even though no edits were made on the page (just opened and closed the page).
This is an issue with Classic Editor & WP 5.6.1 and it has been reported here https://wordpress.org/support/topic/changes-you-made-may-not-be-saved-3/
Thanks John, yes that describes what’s happening. My sites make use of ACF a lot, and i first noticed this behavior after the latest ACF update, so sorry for blaming the ACF plugin for this 😀 Hopefully they fix the classic editor soon as it’s makes headaches.
I did my test with only WP 5.6.1 and Classic Editor installed.
No problem, I investigated after reading this to see if any of my sites are seeing the same thing. I have a lot of client sites I maintain and I’m sure I will be hearing from them about it.
My guess is that it’s probably something in guberbug
