Is it possible to move fields to another field group?

Hi:
I had a look at the Export page, but was confused curious about the process of moving/duplicating fields to another field group.

I know I can delete fields, but what if want to move them to another field group? I spent a lot time tweaking them, so I prefer not to recreate them manually one-by-one. So what’s the best alternative/work-around? Should I export them as XML and then reimport them?
