Intercept or extend file field for vimeo upload

Hello,

I have the requirement to upload directly to vimeo through ACF.
Is this simply possible to intercept file upload field?

Else I think I will create a custom post type with “My Videos” where ppl can manage their videos that go into vimeo and then let people choose from their videos with a simple link field.

Ideas or suggestions welcome 🙂
