How can I access the custom fields

I have a very elementary question, may be it has been answered or is in the documentation (sorry, I couldn’t find it).

I created a bunch of fields on the post page. Now, these are not seen when the post is published. So, how can I see them? Is it stored in some mysql table or somewhere else?
