Hi
I’m trying to hide empty fields, but can’t I seem to figure out where to put the code. I have found the article about how to hide the empty fields.
I’m using DIVI builder
I’ve created a project custom post and used ACF.
I have a repeater field called calender_info and I only want is to be displayed if a date is filled. I also need this to be applied to other things on the page, but i’ll start with this, as it is more crucial
Please explain this to me like I was 5 y/o! As I am quite new to this, thanks.
Here’s my code for single-project.php
<?php
get_header();
$is_page_builder_used = et_pb_is_pagebuilder_used( get_the_ID() );
$show_navigation = get_post_meta( get_the_ID(), ‘_et_pb_project_nav’, true );
?>
<div id=”main-content”>
<?php if ( ! $is_page_builder_used ) : ?>
<div class=”container”>
<div id=”content-area” class=”clearfix”>
<div id=”left-area”>
<?php endif; ?>
<?php while ( have_posts() ) : the_post(); ?>
<article id=”post-<?php the_ID(); ?>” <?php post_class(); ?>>
<?php if ( ! $is_page_builder_used ) : ?>
<div class=”et_main_title”>
<h1 class=”entry-title”><?php the_title(); ?></h1>
<span class=”et_project_categories”><?php echo get_the_term_list( get_the_ID(), ‘project_category’, ”, ‘, ‘ ); ?></span>
</div>
<?php

$width = (int) apply_filters( ‘et_pb_portfolio_single_image_width’, 1080 );
$height = (int) apply_filters( ‘et_pb_portfolio_single_image_height’, 9999 );
$classtext = ‘et_featured_image’;
$titletext = get_the_title();
$thumbnail = get_thumbnail( $width, $height, $classtext, $titletext, $titletext, false, ‘Projectimage’ );
$thumb = $thumbnail[“thumb”];
$page_layout = get_post_meta( get_the_ID(), ‘_et_pb_page_layout’, true );
if ( ” !== $thumb )
print_thumbnail( $thumb, $thumbnail[“use_timthumb”], $titletext, $width, $height );

I don’t see any ACF code in your template.
The basic usage would be
if (get_field('your_field_name')) {
// if the field has content then show the field
the_field('your-field-name');
}

ACF wouldn’t be so widely used in WordPress if it didn’t have some pretty amazing capabilities. In this article, we look at a few of the features we’ll discuss during “7 things you didn’t know you could do with ACF” at #WPEDecode later this month. https://t.co/5lnsTxp81j pic.twitter.com/Yf0ThPG1QG
